Here we go. A brand new year and so much to get done, and so much fun to have. How active are you in your own chapter? As much as I love to see all of you at our State, Regional and National events it is at your chapter level that the fun really begins. It is so important that we all realize this. I know so many of us sometimes are overwhelmed by the number of events that happen outside of our own chapter. I know several that have even said they did not join to only be pestered by what is happening outside their own close circle of friends. First of all if you feel you are being pressured into more activities than you have time for that is not my intention. My intention is to give all of our members an opportunity to meet and enjoy new friends and to experience all that your GWTA has to offer. You pick and choose what you want to do.

On the other hand we do try our best to offer something for every one of our members. Did you know that Region C will be hosting again in June our Region C Rally in Richland Center, WI? This year’s theme is “The Great American Bike Rally”. Yep! You guessed it, we will have a patriotic Theme this year so plan to attend if you can and come and help us enjoy the beautiful roads and scenery in WI. Along with all the great riding available to us we will be having a fun run, a family picnic, regular bingo as well as dirty bingo, a live auction and several other surprises.  Also don’t forget that it is during this time at Region C that we will be selecting our Region C Family of the year. Please consider your selection for your chapter Family of the Year as they should be a family that represents the best of your chapter. From our Chapter Family of the Year your State will be selecting their State Family of the Year and then from our Region C States our Region C Family of the Year will be selected. Did you know that Region C has had more National Family of the Year selected to be National Family of the Year than any other Region in GWTA? There is only one reason for this and that is Region C has the best people in the country.

Gold Rush will be a blast! This year we will be going to Tan Tara Resorts at the Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri. Our theme this year will be Memories and this is our 25th birthday of GWTA. You should be seeing many of the things we have planned for this year coming up in the next few weeks and I would encourage you and your chapter to try and get involved not only for the fun you can have but to show the rest of our GWTA nation just how great Region C is. It has been brought up and decided that many of our Region C states want to go to Cold Rush this year representing the Region they cherish. We are offering Unity Shirts to anyone that would like to purchase one. The idea is for as many of our Region C members who would like to come into opening ceremonies at Tan Tara showing their pride in their Region C!!
