I just got back from Ch. W's Anniversary party and was once again amazed at the friendship shared by members of GWTA. It is so important that you get involved with your chapter. Without your support your chapter is missing some very valuable input. Raffle Tickets are now out and I encourage all of you to sell as many tickets as we can. The National counts on these funds to help run the programs we have in place. I have heard many of you complain that there are not that many benifits to belonging to GWTA. The benifits we do enjoy are not gifts, they are perks. In order for us to exist it is necessary to generate monies to opperate. If member in GWTA would jut buy 10 tickets for them selves we would setting great. On that note NE. has always sold a lot of tickets, on the average of about 26 per member. Lets see what we can do this year. I would like to chalange NE. to put that average up to 30 tickets per member.

Nebraska will be hosting a bike show on May 26, at Cabela's in LaVista. This is going to be a great opportunity to get out and meet the public. We will have awards for three of GWTA's best looking bikes and we will be raffleing off a 24 volt electric scooter. We will have a table set up to show the public about GWTA and we will be selling raffle tickets. Cabela's is even going to come up with some give aways for us.

Spring Fling is just around the corner. after many years of absence we will once again have our Nebraska Spring Fling. Several people have been asking what we will be flinging and it has been suggested that we fling our kids. With having a brand new position, NE. State Youth Director, we have decided that Marisa will be the first one flung.

Region C is coming up fast, have you gotten your reservations made? We had our Region C planning meeting a couple of weeks back in galesburg, ILL. and this is going to be a Region C Family Reunion you are not going to want to miss. Look for the flier on this site.

Gold Rush as many of you already know will be July 16- 19 in Souix Falls, SD. You need to get your rregistrations in by Feb. 28, if you intend to cash in on the 2 for one special. The hotels are reporting that they have heard from many of you but the registrations are lagging. Gold Rush will start out sunday with our family dinner and Steak and Cake is on tap for this. On Maonday we will have ab 80"s dance along with all sorts of other excitement. There will alos be a Midnight ride with ICE CREAM. ON TUesday we have the Ball Game with a tailgate party at a cost of $5. After the ball game will be Fire Works and then a light parade.Tuesday morning brings a very exciting living logo. It will be the one to be part of for memories. Tuesday we will have a great birthday surprise ( a cost of twenty dollars). It will envolve water somehow. On Wednesday we have all sorts of events going on downtown for our special block party during Sioux Falls hot summer nights. Even for our drill teams will perform during our block party. This brings several thousand folks downtown to street vendors as well as a Harley show, Parade and corvette show. Did I mention on Wednesday night after the block party we will be going to a Sioux Falls laser light show followed by our own bike light show. On Thursday we will have the ever exciting Iron Eagle challenge for our top riders along with the ever exciting talent show. Not to mention we will give a bike away as well as several other birthday gifts. Wow what a week for our family to celebrate its twenty years. We have all sorts of other birthday surprises during the week. Did someone say they would like to ride in a hot air balloon?. Who said that. Let's get the word out so our members can join in on the fun.

This S#*w sucks, makes it very hard to get any riding in. We are about 3 weeks into the New Year and many plans are shaping up for the upcoming riding season. Have you made your reservations for Gold Rush this year? I can't tellyou how much fun this rally is. If you have never been to a Gold Rush you owe it to your self to attend this years. Gold Rush this year will be in Souix Falls, right in our own back yard and don't forget the two for one special going on until March 1. Nebraska is going to show up in force this year and show the rest of GWTA what we are made of. I have had a lot of people ask me about where the Region C flier can be found. As of now it is not out. The Region C Staff is haveing thier planning meeting on Feb 2, 2007 to iron out all the details and the Flier should be out shortly after that. We do know that it will be in Gallesburg, IL at Lake Story and there will be many many activities to keep you busy and many frinds to keep you amused. Raffel tickets for Gold Rush from what I understand are with our Region Director and we should be seeing them very soon. I need a count from all of our Chapter Directors of how many tickets they want. Pam Allen is our Raffel Ticket Director and I know that she is very anxious to get started in selling them. Last but not least is our own Sprig Fling coming up on March 24, 2007 with our State Spring Meeting on March 25, 2007. PLease let all of your friends know about all of these events and join n on the fun!!!!

Jan 7, weekly update.

I just got done with my first monthly Chapter Director phone visit. This is going to be a very exciting year. We have a very strong State Membership and already have things in the works to keep our individual chapters invloved. Chapter W is planning thier annual Anniversary party for Feb 17, 2007 in Grant, NE. I am planning to attend this, I have been to a couple of Chapter W's events and have always been impressed with the fun that they have. If you would like to join me let me know, it is a long way out there and it would be great to have someone to travel with. Chapter E is planning thier annual party for this coming weekend Jan. 13,2007 at the McCook Community Center at 6:30 PM. I am not able to attend this but sure wish I could. I did thier Fun Run last summer and had a blast. Check out our Nebraska Events paige and try to visit another chapter, you'll have fun. Rick
