Last week I received a letter from the Monona County Fair Association. I'll post it below...
Hi Gold Wing Touring Association,
We really enjoyed having you here in Onawa at the Monona County Fairgrounds. Couldn't have asked for a nicer group. It didn't rain, but we did have a variety of weather for you. At this writing we still have not had any rain. All around us has gotten drenched. It will probably come during Fiar!!!
The pictures our local papers took were not the best, but I've enclosed a copy of one of them for you. Also, your food drive raised about 150 pounds for the local food pantry. The food was delivered the Monday after you left.
Members of the Fiar Board who showed up at the grounds on Monday thought you hadn't been there. They were impressed that you cleaned up your areas so well. They said you are welcome anytime.
On a personal note, I really enjoyed all of you. A special thanks for my rides. It made my year. When everyone as gone, I felt like my family had left. If any one of you are in the area or passing through, feel free to stop in, camp here, or just hang out for a while. Hope to see all of you again.
