Winter Weekend East - Update

Hello Everyone,

As you may have heard, the site for Winter Weekend East, Season's Lodge in Nashville, IN has had a fire and the hotel is closed down. They have been in contact with and canceled rooms for those members who had made reservations.

Please get the word out to everyone planning on attending Winter Weekend East that the location has been moved to the * Courtyard Marriott

3888 Mimosa Drive,

Columbus, IN 47201*.

*Call: 800-582-1582 and mention GWTA to get the $62/night rate.*

Those of you who do a map search will discover that Columbus and Nashville are about 20 miles apart. I spoke with Bruce Keenon about this. He is looking into meeting places in Columbus to hold all of the rally activities. The Courtyard Marriott has a large room that we will have available for socializing Friday evening as we all arrive. I will forward more details as that are made available to me.

I highly recommend that any Chapter Director (or interested member) who is able to stay for awhile on Sunday morning following the Winter Weekend consider sitting in on the seminar that will be presented by the National Education and Retention Directors, Mike and Carol Brush. This is a FREE seminar that will talk about how to be a successful Chapter Director. You do NOT have to be registered for the Winter Weekend events to participate in this seminar. Spend the night Saturday at the Courtyard Marriott, attend the seminar Sunday morning, then travel home Sunday afternoon. Please consider this very interesting and informative seminar.

Yours in Friendship,

Barb Johnson

GWTA Region C Director
