Nebraska - Possibilities Endless

| Nebraska Tourism Website - Possibilities Endless |
So I'm hanging out minding my own business and I come across a brand new BLOG on the Region C Website. It's called Three Wheels West. Sure I knew about it, afterall I set it up.
That's not the interesting part. I was reading the article and it suggested that if I wanted Spring to come (and boy do I) that I should log on to the Nebraska Tourism Website and order the Nebraska Tourism Packet.
Laura and I are planning a trip out West this Summer. I haven't been out there since I was tiny and that was awhile ago. The only thing I can remember is it didn't look much like Eastern Nebraska at all.
That's not the interesting part. I decided to go ahead and order my packet and proceeded to log into their website and fill out the form. So far it's not working because it's pretty cold outside right now. I even noticed that it was nice and warm up until Friday and then Saturday and Sunday barely produced 40 degree days. Then on Monday again 55. Maybe the packet will be here Monday.
That's not the interesting part. After filling out the form my browser looks like the image above. Most people see a sunset (or maybe a sunrise) with a bird coming in for a landing (or maybe taking off). It's a nice photo isn't it? Well I've been cooped up so long that I didn't see it that way. What I saw was a whole flock of birds.
Yes one bird up in the air and a dozen or so below all holding on to one of those fireman trampoline deals. Put that together with the slogan above "Nebraska -- Possibilities Endless" and you got one hell of a shot. So you see? Spring needs to get here soon and I need to get out of the house.
I can't be alone. There has to be others like me waiting to park the car for 6 months. They would have to be like me and be in that phase when mowing the grass sounds like fun. When you can go outside without needing to put on a coat... When you wake up to the sounds of birds again... When scenic photos of a bird doesn't trigger images of cartoons.
I'm ready. Are you?
