Region C Rally Hotel Information

Here is a list of accomodations that I have for the Galesburg, Il area.  From what I gather rooms are scarce in Galesburg.  Apparently there are a bunch of events going on in the area at the same time that we'll be there.  Some hotels are already completely booked and one hotel in the area has decided that they are going to be doing upgrades to their hotel during the peak part of the season.  Don't shoot the messenger.

Best Western Prairie Inn (309) 343-7151 Galesburg, Il  -  This is where we stayed during the Spring meeting.  I really liked this establishment.  The food in the restaurant was good and the indoor pool was fun.

Comfort Inn (309) 344-5445 Galesburg, Il  - We got a quote from this hotel at $79 per night.

Econo Inn (309) 344-2401 Galesburg, Il - We found this establishment to be about 50% full and they have around 80 rooms.  The cost is around $55 per night.

Fairfield Inn (309) 344-1911 Galesburg, Il - This hotel was all booked up for the rally dates but perhaps someone will cancel.  I'll list it anyway.

Holiday Inn Express (309) 343-7100 - The flyer says "Stay Smart" but the lady at the front desk says "Sorry Renovations" (but you do get a free USA Today newspaper).

Americas Best Value Inn (309) 343-9161 - Near the Amtrac Depot.

Super 8 Knoxville (309) 289-2100 - I believe your region C Staff is working on a deal for a group rate at this location.  There is some vacancy here.

For more information on Hotels/Motels/B&B in the area please click HERE.

For more information on Galesburg, Il click HERE.

When visiting one of the hotels I got a free season ticket to the Chicago Bulls in Section 2, Row 8, Seat 7.  This pass is good for all games except Weekdays, Saturday, Sunday and Holidays.  If anyone would like it, I won't be able to use it.  This is courtesy of Richard and Cathy of Layden Farms in Hoopeston, Illinois.

Region "C" Rally 2007

With the new year approaching (not soon enough) I thought I'd start a collection of tid bits about the upcoming Region "C" Rally.  You can book mark this page for updates as I see them in both official and non-official means.  So far, I found some photos of the area that we will apparently be calling home during the rally.  I also started a posting in the FORUM that you can refer to for conversation.

I think that might be Barb and Tom stuck out in the middle of the lake.  I think they're stuck because they are both paddling on the same side and one of them is paddling with a broom stick.  :)

Anyway, enjoy the photos and watch this entry for any updates that I receive.  The official area for Region "C" Details is HERE.
