| Don't even think of parking here |
So I pull into this gas station in the middle of nowhere after a long day of wandering and I decided that after I filled the tank that I should step into the cafe and get something to eat. It was a warm sunny day, not a cloud in the sky and the sun was beating down pretty good so it was good timing. I stopped the cafe only to find out that Chicken Fried Steak with gravy hashbrowns was the special. Oh boy!
As it turns out they didn't need a special because it was pretty good. I would of paid whatever price. I'll have to get back to that little cafe sometime. I remember on the radio was playing Three Dog Night and it reminded me of this photo I have that was taken at Four Corners. It's really amazing how a song can do that.
So I sat there thinking about it for like 20 minutes while my Chicken Fried Steak and gravy hasbrowns settled in. The waitress brought the check and I wandered back outside.
When I got out there I couldn't help notice this grumpy looking guy standing next to his bike. He was parked in front of a sign that said "Don't Event Think of Parking Here". I thought it might be appropriate to snap this photo for my records because it looked to me like he was in violation already.
From there I thought I better move on. It wasn't really any of my business and I didn't know what he was up to. He could of been secret service for all I know. I thought they normally wore suits and stuff though. Maybe he was an undercover secret service guy. He could of also been the decoy under cover secret service guy. Yea that had to be it because those guys get away with illegally thinking all the time. Don't they? How would I know that? What was I thinking... and where the hell was I?
Anyway, as I drove off into the sun (it wasn't really setting yet so I have to just say sun here) I looked into my rear view mirror and noticed that he was still just standing there. I wondered what he was waiting for. It was really amazing because now I was wondering and wandering at the same time. It was a great feeling. Then I just figured that I better get some Three Dog Night on the MP3 player if I get home.
And that's not necessarily the story behind this photo.
