I'm with you Stargazer, pulled the bike out of the garage today and went for a short 30 mile ride and then to the store to shop for groceries. Sure felt good.

Hey I my bike started today. It felt good just to sit on it. I can't wait until I get my first ride in of the season. Unfortunately, I'm going to need a new battery. I had to jump the bike with the RV battery to get it to start. I knew last year though when I parked it that the battery was pretty much done.

Get yourself a charger made for motorcycles. I burned up a stator on my 1100 by jumbining it off a car. Bikes just are not build to take the charge a car battery can put out.

I have battery tenders for all my batteries (2 cars, 2 tractors, 1 motorcycle, and the RV). That's 6 in all. You can charge a "done" battery all you want to. It just isn't going to do any bit of good. BTW the RV is simply a marine battery so it was one battery to another. It won't matter anyway as I'll have a new battery put in sometime this week. There is a great shop right around the corner that sells a reasonably priced motorcycle battery. There just isn't any reason in the world to mess around with an aged motorcycle battery on any bike.

The sad part about it is that I loose all my stations on the radio. I don't think they made it very easy to set those on a 1500. I'm sure they've improved on that for the 1800.
